Strengthen Your Knowledge as Your Child's Advocate
Advocating for your child is a full time job.
Anne has created short videos containing actionable steps you can take to support your child needs additional academic, social, or emotional support in school to grow and thrive as a student.
Each video will provide parents and guardians steps to take, or address issues many parents find themselves in with their unique child, but feels isolated and alone.

DASA - What Parents Need to Know
If your child is being bullied in school, outside of school, or virtually, DASA (Dignity for All Students Act), gives parents and students recourse.
My YouTube video shows what steps parents can take, what form to fill out, and the timeline that needs to be followed.

Data to Request from Your Child's School
If you have concerns for your child's academic struggles or his/her ability to access the grade level curriculum, it's important to have data to support your concerns.
This video tells parents what data they should be asking for from the school: school or district internal assessments such as the iReady, STAR, MAPS (to name a few) and their child's reading level.
Watch my YouTube video on what to ask for and who to contact.

Homework Struggles as Data to Support Your Concerns: 4th Grade & Higher Grades
Struggles with homework can be an indicator your child needs more academic support. Doing homework after school should not be hours and hours of tears, tantrums, or meltdowns.
Watch my YouTube video on how to reduce the stress and tears of doing homework and use it as a source of data to support the academic concerns you have for your child.
Get a piece of paper and a pen . . . you're going to want to take notes!
This video is for students in 4th Grade and above.
